    Lake Glenville

    At the highest elevation of any lake east of the Mississippi (3,494 feet), Lake Glenville is home to three waterfalls! Paddleboard, kayak, canoe or rent a pontoon boat from Signal Ridge Marina. Fishing fanatics – go for large and small mouth bass, walleye, rainbow trout, and even catfish. It’s just a 32-minute drive from Mountain Falls.

    Lake Jocassee

    Known for its mostly untouched coastline, Lake Jocassee is a manmade lake that encompasses a whopping 7,565 acres. A variety of boat rentals are available, and the lake is stocked with brown and rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, and sunfish. Lake Jocassee is 38 minutes from the resort.

    Bear Creek Lake

    Less than 1 hour from Mountain Falls, Bear Creek Lake is a favorite among boaters, anglers, and kayakers. Be sure to cruise past spectacular Sols Creek Falls, which empties directly into the lake!

    If you’re looking for a little adrenaline-pumping fun, Western Carolina is home to some of the nation’s top outfitters who will guide you on a rumbling rafting adventure down the Nantahala or French Broad Rivers.
